Details: Salisbury Cathedral visit
Visit Salisbury Cathedral, one of the finest medieval cathedrals in Britain. It is well-known for having the tallest spire in the country, which we may climb if we wish. Our visit will be highlighted by the cathedral’s 13th century octagonal Chapter House, which displays the finest of four surviving original texts of the Magna Carta.

Day 4 Bath--Stratford

Travel to Stratford
Details: Roman Baths visit
Explore the extremely well-preserved Roman Baths, first associated with the Celtic King Bladud, and later established by the Romans in the 1st Century. Step into the Pump Room, a set of elegant chambers built above the old Roman baths. The core of the Pump Room is the Grand Chamber, which looks down onto the old Roman Baths.
Details: Anne Hathaway's cottage & Shakespeare's birthplace visit
Visit William Shakespeare's childhood home, furnished in a style typical to the Elizabethan period. Then tour the thatched cottage where his wife, Anne Hathaway, lived before her marriage. The adjoining Shakespeare Tree Garden is planted with trees and flowers mentioned in Shakespeare’s plays.

Stop for a brief visit to Holy Trinity Church, the parish church where both Shakespeare and his wife, Anne Hathaway, are buried. It is located in an attractive setting on the banks of the River Avon.
Day 5  Stratford--Lincoln area
Travel to Coventry

The Norman castle has been at the centrer of the fight for the English throne, a prison to everybody from the father of John Wesley, founder of Methodism, to convicts transported to Australia… and home to Lincoln Cathedral’s original 1215 Magna Carta.

Excursion to Epworth, the birthplace of Methodism

Details: St. Andrew’s Parish Church and Samuel Wesley’s Tomb Guided Visit
Samuel Wesley was rector of St Andrew's and is buried here. John, unable to use the church building, delivered several sermons in the cemetery.

The Wesley family lived in the Rectory for over 40 years. Today, it is a museum of the Methodist tradition.
Day 7 Lincoln--London
Lincoln College and Wesley Rooms Visit

Today, We will travel from Stratford-Upon-Avon to London. En route we will visit Oxford. Oxford has long been an important stopping point on central routes from the north of England to London, but is more well-known as the home of England's first university. With its spectacular architecture and famous scholars, the university is a uniquely integral part of Oxford and England.

Visit Christ Church College, Oxford's largest and grandest Renaissance College, which was founded in 1525 by Cardinal Wolsey. The college's Christ Church Cathedral is the smallest in England.
Details: Windsor Castle visit
Visit Windsor Castle, the world's largest inhabited castle, and one of the official residencies of the British monarch. Our visit will include the richly decorated State Apartments and St. George's Chapel, a pantheon of English Monarchs.

John Wesley's Conversion Place Memorial Visit
Wesley's Chapel and Leysian Mission guided visit
Details: John Wesley’s House and Museum
The group will tour the house adjacent to City Road Chapel that served as John Wesley’s home from 1779 to 1791. An impressive collection of Wesley memorabilia and original house furnishings can be viewed on the tour, including Wesley’s prayer bench and the bed where he uttered his last words, “The best of all is, God is with us.”

Following the rededication service, members of the choir and those accompanying the choir will take a short walking tour of the area, including stops at: The Foundery, Finsbury Square, Bunhill Fields,, Wesley’s Conversion Site.
Day 9 London
Farewell Dinner
Details: Westminster Abbey visit
Visit Westminster Abbey, where English kings and queens have been crowned since 1066. Our Blue-Badge Guided Tour will include the Royal Chapels, containing the tombs of the English monarchs. It also will feature the Poets' Corner, featuring memorials to many famous British literary figures.
Details: Thames River cruise
Enjoy a Thames River Cruise, a relaxing way to view many of London's most magnificent sights. Our trip will take us past the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben and under the famous Tower Bridge.
Details: Tower of London visit
Get up close and personal with the Tower of London. Towers, rather. Twenty stone towers, as well as tunnels, winding staircases and narrow passageways comprise this huge fortress covering 18 acres on the banks of the Thames. A royal residence from the 11th - 16th centuries, the Tower also served as a jewel safe and a prison. The headless skeletons of Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard (Henry VIII's former wives who were executed here) are believed to be buried here. The Crown Jewels are housed here, including the largest cut diamond in the world (530-carats). Beefeaters (guards) lead tours through the Tower.

Afternoon tea started in England in the 1840s when The Duchess of Bedford wanted a small bite between lunch and dinner. What started out as just tea and a small snack quickly grew in popularity when she invited friends, until it became a social gathering for the wealthy social class. You’ll get to sit down to this very British experience and enjoy a selection of savouries, scones with clotted cream and jam, an assortment of cakes, and of course tea!
Details: Shopping at Harrods
Don’t forget your credit cards as you pay a visit (and a hefty markup) to the world’s most famous luxury store. With over one million square feet of selling space in over 330 departments, Harrods most certainly lives up to its motto—Omnia Omnibus Ubique, All Things for All People, Everywhere. You’ll find clothes, electronics, sporting goods, toys, housewares, furniture and some very high-end jewelry. Of course, if you don’t measure up to Harrods dress code, you may find yourself left out in the cold.
